Do SVT and the makers of "För alla åldrar" believe that this character on the children’s programme, Bolibompa, is acceptable in 2009?

As I sat watching TV with my children this very dark puppet character appeared, with a gold chain and huge red lips which to me felt like an obvious racist parody of a black person. Is racism so ingrained in Sweden that no-one stopped and said – hang on guys, this isn’t right? Perhaps even more frightening is that they probably think it's funny.
'Political correctness gone mad' some of you may cry out as a way of avoiding the subject of my complaint. I’d be the first to admit that PC can go too far sometimes and the ability to laugh at our differences can be hindering but that's not what I’m talking about here. Yes I’m black but if they had shown a yellow character with slanted eyes I would have been equally offended. Racism is racism.
The continued use of crass caricatures like this only helps to confirm people’s negative stereotypes and increase racism in those already poorly educated.
I shall be writing a strong letter of complaint to SVT.
